We wanted to share this amazing picture of lightning in New York, shot with a Nikon D300s, which we spotted over on the BBC website. You often hear the phrase ‘once in a lifetime shot’ but in this case it’s almost literally true – the cameraman, Jay Fine, says he’s been waiting 40 years to get the picture. As you can see from the BBC site, it was shot with a Nikon D300s with 60mm f/2.8 lens on the following settings: Aperture: F/10, Shutterspeed: 5 seconds, ISO: 200
